High-performance Center Single-Cell Technologies LZ-EZT

At the kick-off meeting last Wednesday, representatives from science, politics and industry underlined the importance of our new initiative.
After the opening by Michael Baßler from Fraunhofer IMM and Jens Langejürgen from Fraunhofer IPA, the two institute directors Professor Michael Maskos (IMM) and Professor Thomas Bauernhansl (IPA) gave insights into the research and transfer agenda of the LZ-EZT.
This was followed by keynote speeches from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism, the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Science and Health and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. The companies faCellitate, Fast Forward Discoveries GmbH, Singleron Biotechnologies, GenXPro GmbH, Black Drop Biodrucker GmbH and Visual Abstract presented their approaches in the field of single-cell technologies. Workshops on specific project ideas and measures with Michael Baßler, Jens Langejürgen, Stefan Scheuermann, Janis Stiefel and Christian Freese rounded off the kick-off meeting.
In addition to the Fraunhofer Institutes IPA and IMM, the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, the University Medical Center Mainz, the Technical University Darmstadt and the University Medical Center Mannheim are significantly involved in the LZ-EZT.
